Scientific Ultrasound Medical Centre "Istyna", using new medical techniques, specializes in diseases caused by cerebral blood circulation disorders, including migraine, vegeto-vascular dystonia, manager syndrome, strokes, brain injuries consequences, state of coma. Experts of the Centre also succeeded in curing of disseminated sclerosis, epileptic syndrome, cerebral spastic infantile paralysis, mental retardation, autism, etc. As an example we would like to describe history of some cases.

State of coma

Galya Krivova.
This tragedy is wide known in Ukraine. As a result of panic in an overcrowded cinema 4 children have died, a 13-year-old Galya Krivova collapsed in coma and remain in this state more than a month.
The examination of Galya's condition showed serious problems in brain blood supply. An adult would not survive with such injuries. But child organism potential are great. Moreover, Galya went in for sport and had a healthy heart. We hoped for positive changes.
After a 10-day course of treatment and constant control with the help of Doppler we have clearly seen positive changes: brain edema decrease, venous and arterial blood supply improved, venous outflow started.
Treatment continued. The girl started to contact with doctors and parents. But we should have done everything for her not to be a disabled person.
Experts in neuropathology, rehabilitation, psychology, and speech therapy worked with Galya to help her overcome her critical state. As the right brain hemisphere had better blood supply we gave her the information about environment in the form of music - the songs of her favorite singer. And it helped.
The course of treatment with some modifications has lasted for three years and is to be continued until the brain will function properly and blood supply become stable.
Now Galya can walk without any help, her speech improved and sight restored (she has been completely blind for a year). But several years of painstaking work are needed for Galya to restore all her abilities.

Serhiy Paladiychuck.
The story of Serhiy Paladiychuck (16 years old) shows another victory over coma state. After a craniocerebral injury he was in vegetative state for a year. Serhiy's perception was affected, he was not able to contact with other people and did not respond to external irritants.
After his brain functions have been partially restored we discovered that Serhiy's coordination of movement, orientation in time and space were affected, and he was absent-minded and could not control his emotions and wants.
After a course of treatment carried out in the Center Serhiy was able to realize his personality, control his emotions and attention, his memory, speech (partially), criticism and self-criticism, orientation in space in time, extremities movement restored, cognitive activity and self-confidence appeared. The boy could take care of himself and regain his before-injury strains - kindness, friendliness, and generosity.

Vasyl'. I
Vasyl' I. collapsed in coma as a result of a cerebral hemorrhage after a craniocerebral injury. He was operated by neurosurgeons but he did not to regain consciousness. Cerebral coma has lasted for five months. Due to his mother, wife and colleagues' efforts and the work of our Center's staff after a six-month treatment this man was brought back to life.
Our experience for the time being proved that in coma patients changes in blood circulation condition hardly become apparent clinically, i.e. ultrasound examination shows positive changes but there are no visible signs of improvement.
When we treated Vasyl' I. there were no clinical signs, some doctors predicted that the cortex of cerebrum mortified which usually results in vegetative state with no hope on recovery.
But the patient is alive, his speech restored, he even remembered the Spanish he had learned before trauma.

Disseminated sclerosis

Alla Lashchuck
As an aftereffect of influenza dissiminated sclerosis was clinically presented in Alla Lashchuck (24 years old). This serious illness affects mostly young people and is manifested in moving disorders. The patients not only become disabled but also are not able to take care of themselves, perceive the reality, and control their emotions. Criticism, self-control and speech had been restored after the first course of treatment and Alla was able to fill in our questionnaire herself.
Unfortunately there were still some disorders of walking, but they were almost invisible. Alla's health has been under our control for 2 years. In a year her capacity for work was fully restored and Alla started working as a teacher. When Alla became pregnant her doctors tended to predict that pregnancy and delivery will not be normal and cause the exacerbation. They also worried about the possibility of genetic diseases in child. Contrary to their opinion the doctors of our Centre insisted on maintenance of pregnancy, as we did not see in mother's organisms any changes demanding abortion. And now we are glad to state that Alla has a healthy son and both of them feel good.

Stroke

Michael P.
Another patient of "Istyna" Michael P. (45 years old) appealed for medical aid suffering from speech disorders, considerable right extremities movements restriction, walking disorders, heart pain, headache, undue fatigability, memory impairment, irritability. After the clinical, neurological and instrumental diagnostics using the complex clinical and instrumental examination of blood flow and functional brain activity general phenomenon of stroke as a result of carotid embolism was diagnosed. Because of numerous concomitant diseases operative measures were contra-indicated. The only solution was the formation of bypass collaterals using individual hemodynamically approved set of medicines. The treatment included individual medication combined with complex physiotherapy, which caused the clearance of speech, increase in right extremities movements, stabilization of arterial pressure, coordination of walk, memory improving, disappearing of headache and heart pain, increase in self-service level and social adaptation. Further treatment is recommended for the state stabilization.

Cerebral spastic infantile paralysis

Ivanna B.
Ivanna B. suffers from cerebral spastic infantile paralysis in the form of pyramidal paraparesis epileptiform syndrome. Now she is 5 years old. Due to the treatment she began to fix the gaze, hold the head; elements of crawling appeared. She is able to sit up herself and stay in such position for a while and began to react to the mothers voice and recognize her parents.

Autism

Volodya V.
Volodya V. (8) suffers from autism. It means that a child lives in her internal world and does not understand and perceive the surroundings. Its brain reacts to all the irritants simultaneously and therefore is not able to provide comprehension reaction to any of them. After being complexly treated using the psychological correction the boy became interested in the games, started mastering the constructive activity.

Episyndrome

Eugen B.
Eugen B. (3,5) after the postvaccinal encephalitis suffers from episyndrome with frequent generalized paroxysms. He was hyperactive and was not able to concentrate on anything. As a result of treatment all the typical for his age functions have been restored. Appeared the ability to participate in role-play games, cognitive activity and intellectual curiosity.

Mental retardation

Alex N.
Alex N. (23) suffered from mental retardation and was cured many times during several years. Due to this treatment we succeeded in his socialization. He found his place in the life and a hobby. He made a painting that he gave to doctors of the centre "Istyna" as a souvenir.

Sight restoring

Alex K.
Alex K. suffered from headache, dizziness and especially from eyesight failing. Partial sight remained: 10% in right eye, 30 % in left eye. Doctors considered that nothing could be done to restore the sight and were afraid of deterioration. For the first time Alex's parents appealed to "Istyna" for medical aid in 1996. The boy was treated according to our prescriptions and as a result his sight was completely restored.
