On non-crystallographic reflection groups in cryptography

Abstract:
Common quasicrystal models which are called "cut and project" are used for encryption of digital two-dimensional data. Crucial for the encryption is the “star map” (i.e. the mapping of a regular pentagon into a five-pointed star). Several versions of realization of this idea will be presented.
