Multilinear variable separation approach and localized excitations

The multilinear variable separation approach has been established to obtain the variable separation solutions for a large class of (2+1)-dimensional nonlinear partial differential equations. Our research shows that the variable separation solutions can be expressed in a quite unified form. Based on the result, we are able to construct many kinds of interesting localized excitations and investigate the corresponding interaction properties.
