From kderham@plenum.co.uk Fri May 25 13:45:34 2001 Date: Thu, 24 May 2001 15:44:49 +0100 From: "Derham, Ken" <kderham@plenum.co.uk> To: "Anatoly M Samoilenko (E-mail)" <sam@imath.kiev.ua> Subject: Nonlinear Oscillations [ The following text is in the "iso-8859-1" character set. ] [ Your display is set for the "koi8-r" character set. ] [ Some characters may be displayed incorrectly. ] Professor A M Samoilenko Editor: Nonlinear Oscillations Director: Institute of Mathematics, Kyiv Dear Professor Samoilenko, I am sorry that I missed you when I visited the Mathematics Institute while I was in Kyiv recently and that we were not able to meet. However, I am grateful to you for your support which led to the successful signature of an agreement for publication of Nonlinear Oscillations by Kluwer Academic / Plenum Publishers (KAPP). I would like to recap on some important points of the discussions during my visit. Under the new agreement, KAPP will commence electronic publication of the journal, with four issues per year from the beginning of the year 2002. We will aim to publish the English edition simultaneously with your edition. With this objective, we agreed a schedule for supply of the articles for each issue in good time to allow for translation and production of the English edition. Please provide a description of the journal and its coverage. This might be of one or two typed pages in length and should clearly indicate the most important strengths of the journal, both in terms of its scientific content and its appeal to a worldwide audience. Please give special emphasis to coverage of the journal that distinguishes it from other journals, especially those published by Kluwer such as Nonlinear Dynamics, or Differential Equations. Please indicate the scientific disciplines to which the journal should be promoted. As some time will be needed for us to mount a marketing campaign in advance of the first issue being published, I would be grateful if the above information could be sent to me as soon as possible. With best regards, Ken Derham Kluwer Academic/Plenum Publishers 241 Borough High Street London SE1 1GB, UK E-mail: k.derham@plenum.co.uk Tel: (+44) 20 7940 7491 Fax: (+44) 20 7940 7495 / 6 Web site: www.wkap.nl Journals: http://www.wkap.nl/kaphtml.htm/JRNLHOME Book series: http://www.wkap.nl/series.htm
