International Workshop "Free boundary flows and related problems of analysis"

Kiev, September 25 - 30, 2005

    Co-organizing institutions: Institute of Mathematics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, International Mathematical Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (in collaboration with some universities of other countries).

    The 5-day workshop is dedicated to problems of free boundary flows, wave propagation, nonlinear dynamics of fluid structure interaction and related mathematical problems of complex analysis and potential theory. Both theoretical and applied communications are encouraged.

    Participation in the Workshop is exclusively on personal invitation from the Organizing Committee. We plan to invite about 50 participants. We shall focus our attention on the following main directions:

  • -- Methods of mathematical physics and nonlinear mechanics in free boundary problems
  • -- Oscillation of liquid with a free surface in moving structures
  • -- Wave processes in hydrodynamics
  • -- Hypercomplex and algebraic methods in analytical problems
  • -- Geometric function theory.

    • The Workshop will be located in a close suburb of Kiev.

    Program of the Workshop with abstracts of submitted reports will be published before beginning of the Workshop. We plan to publish Proceedings of the Workshop as a separate volume.

    Registration fee (including lodging, 3-times meals, banquet and coffee breaks) will be specified in the Second Announcement on 15 June and should be paid upon arrival.

    If you intend to participate in the Workshop, please submit electronic Registration Form and Abstract before May 31, 2005.

    If you plan to contribute an article for Proceedings, please submit electronic Manuscript before August 1, 2005. A format for preparing articles for proceedings will be given in the Second Announcement.
