European Conference on Iteration Theory 2008

The European Conference on Iteration Theory, ECIT 2008, follows the sequence of meetings started in Toulouse 1973 and continued in Graz 1977, Marburg 1980, Toulouse 1982, Lochau 1984, Caldes de Malavella 1987, Batschuns 1989, Lisboa 1991, Batschuns 1992, Opava 1994, Urbino 1996, Muszyna 1998, La Manga del Mar Menor 2000, Evora 2002, Batschuns 2004, Gargnano 2006.

Traditionally, Dynamical Systems and Functional Equations are the main topics of these conferences.

Accommodation

ECIT 2008 will take place in Yalta (Crimea, Ukraine), which is situated at the submountain seashore resort on the Southern coast of the Crimean peninsula, 95 km south of Simferopol. A large mountain amphitheatre faces the sea between the two capes: Ai-Todor in the west and Montedor in the east. In the north and north-west, Yalta is enclosed by a 1400-meter high mountain barrier which protects it from the cold.

The participants of the conference are offered to stay in the Resort Hotel Yaltinskiy, which is the former estate of Count Mordvinov, with its surviving picturesque palace, park and palm alleys. Yaltinskiy proposes accommodation in singe and double rooms with the standard facilities. The Hotel is located in the center of Yalta, in a 10 min walking distance from the famous Yalta seafront with its numerous shops, cafes, diners, and luxury restaurants.

ECIT sessions will take place in a conference hall of the Hotel Yaltiskiy.

Participation Fee

The fee includes full board and lodging (starting with the dinner on Sept., 7 and ending with the breakfast on Sept., 13), conference materials, social events, as well as transportation from the Simferopol airport to the meeting place. The total amount is:
per person in a single room 550 EUR
per person in a double room 470 EUR
for an accompanying person 420 EUR
The fee is paid in cash at the ECIT registration desk in the Resort Hotel Yaltiskiy.

Abstract Submission
