Group-invariant solutions to Khokhlov–Zabolotskaya equation

Abstract:
The Khokhlov–Zabolotskaya (KZ) singular manifold equation is analysed taking the Lie group approach. Its symmetry algebra is classified into an optimal system of one-dimensional subalgebras. Group-invariant solutions obtained from the symmetry reductions of the equation lead to new solutions of the KZ equation.
