Symmetry reduction of equations for solute transport in porous media

Classical point symmetry analysis of the solute transport equation in streamline coodinates is carried out. This equation with both point water source and point vortex flow admits a number of classical Lie point symmetries. Symmetry reduction and other techniques lead to construction of new non-radial invariant solutions.
