Scattering theory for open quantum systems

We will discuss the scattering theory for a pair of two selfadjoint operators one of which is a minimal selfadjoint dilation of a maximal dissipative operator acting in a Hilbert space. A connection with dissipative scattering and the Lax-Phillips scattering theory will be discussed. Some recent results (published and still unpublished) will be reviewed.
