Transport properties in the ballistic regime in a 2D channel with rippled wall

Abstract:
Numerical results of particles bouncing elastically inside of a 2D channel of finite length with sinusoidal walls are presented. We discuss the transport properties for a given initial condition in both regimes chaotic and regular. We propose a criterion to distinguish the regular from the chaotic regime based on the difference of phases between the walls.
