Three dimensional gravity models with torsion and nonmetricity and the construction of their Chern-Simons theories

Abstract:
It is well known that 2+1 gravity can be formulated as a gauge theory with Chern-Simons action. A generalization of general relatitvity is achieved allowing the connection to posses torsion and nonmetricity. This is equivalent to say that the underlying group is no more the Poincare group ISO(1,D-1) but something more general. It will be shown that also for such models of gravity with torsion and nonmetricity a Chern Simons-Formulation can be obtained.
