      metric spaces, approximation of functions, orthogonal polynomials, potential theory, weighted graphs, partially ordered sets, fractals, singular functions, porosity

        Career
        Oleksiy Alfredovich Dovgoshey studied at the Department of Physics at the Novosibirsk State University and at the Department of Mathematics at the Kuban State University. In 1984 he graduated from the Kuban State University and obtained the qualification of a mathematician.
        After graduating from the University he had been working for 3 years as an engineer and junior researcher in the All-Union Research Institute of the Currents (Krasnodar, Russia).
        From 1987 to 1999 O. Dovgoshey was a post-graduate student at the IAMM of NASU. He studied under supervision of the professor Vladimir Ivanovich Belyi.
        In 1991 he obtained a degree of the Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences.
        From 1994 to 2000 O. Dovgoshey headed the Department of the Mathematics and Mathematical Methods in Economics at the Donetsk Institute of Economics and Economical Law.
        In 1999 the academic degree of Senior Research Worker in the Mathematical Analysis was conferred on him.
        From 1997 to 2014 he worked as a Senior Researcher at the Institute of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics (Donetsk, Ukraine).
        In 2001-2002 O. Dovgoshey was invited as a visiting professor to the Mersin University (Turkey).
        Since December 2014 he has been working as a Senior Researcher at the Institute of Mathematics (Kiev, Ukraine).
        Oleksiy Dovgoshey is also was the Academician Secretary of the Special Scientific Council in Mathematical Analysis and Probability Theory of IAMM of NASU from 2006 to 2014.

          Grants, awards and scientific programs

          Different grants from The State Fund for Fundamental Reseachers (Ukraine), the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turekey (TUBITAK), the International Renaissance Foundation (IRF) founded by George Soros, the Academy of Finland, the Finnish Academy of Science and Literature, the University of Helsinki, the University of Turku (Finland), the Institute of Mathematics of the Polish Academy of Sciences were obtained.
